Ouch!!!! Dropped KB on my toe!

Much to my surprise, I managed to drop a 20kg KB on my left big toe two days ago. Let's just say that I am going to lose my big toe nail, and lose it quickly. Damn it! That means no track meet today which is a real bummer because I was looking forward to competing in the 50 meter dash at Cal State San Marcos today - oh well! Just like Pavel says, if I get injured "IT'S MY FAULT." Now it means nothing but wearing my MERRELL sport sandals all summer. Well at least the weather is nice and warm and I'll look and be ready for the beach :)

Instead of track meet / I decided to train:

Snatches w/24kg KB
12 sets x 5/5 = 120 reps

Chin Ups w/ 12kg
8,7,7,7,7,6,6,

Military Press (no clean)w/20kg KB
8/8 x 4 sets 6/6 x 1 set

Fun workout today. Really enjoyed it! Off to LA for the weekend with my Yoana right now.

Yikes! At least it wasn't your cranium.

Your bones all right ? Glad it is not that serious.

It hit my toe once (after bouncing on the ground) while the training partner tried to teach me one hand juggling. No injury, but I found it not wise to "compete" a technique that you don't know much.

I feel your pain, man. I often forget how important those little toes are until i smash one. Hope you're sprinting again soon.

What a bummer, Franz. It is easy to take for granted our feet's health and its effetc of the rest of the body. Heal fast

Mark,

thanks brother! Quick feet are happy feet!

Royce,

Foot injury I can live with, a cranium injury probably not!

Taikei,

bones are good, although my big toe joint hurts alot! Not much fun. What a stupid way to get injured. I still can't believe that I did that!

I hope you are well!

Tim,

thanks brother. Hopefully I'll be well enough to compete again at the end of July!

Pete,

amazing how such a small part of the body can effect the rest of the body so much. There really are no "less important" parts. God put them all there for a reason :)

Ouch! . I'm suprised you didnt' break it. Put it this way, it could have been much worse.

Hope your toe feels better fast!

Franz,
Thanks for the advice on the overhead squat. I am slowly improving. But I think it will be sometime until I can do the full get-up though.

My pleasure Nate! Keep practicing the overhead squats and you'll get there!
