I am NOT a country fan. But this song by Trace Adkins is awesome. How often do we tell ourselves that life will be better when.....we get married.....or when we get that big promotion...........or when you weigh a certain amount...............or when you are old enough to drive a car......or when I get that car and house!
The fact is that life is so fast that we must stop and enjoy every STAGE of life because once it's gone.........IT's GONE!!!
Life is not a dress rehersal! The lyrics in this song are true! Listen to them carefully!

Great lyrics! It did make me a bit nostalgic but I would have to say I'm extremely grateful to have arrived where I am right now.
I agree. I've known so many people who are always chasing the next thing in the belief that it will make them whole. Real happiness comes from kettlebells. Everyone knows that.

I actually am a country fan, and it is a very good song. Why country? After a certain age, or place in life, songs about angst and defiance really don't cut it for someone who is enjoying family and life. Many country songs are about appreciating the things you have in life, or respect working hard for something worthwhile. Sure, many music forms translate that in their own fashion, but for me, country can relax. Don't get me wrong, I still love many forms of music, but you will be surprised that one day, you may say you actually LIKE country :)!
