Saturday Tempo Running

I was planning on doing a speed workout on the track today but during the warm up my right knee had a sharp pain in it. Weird? Maybe from sitting in the car too much during the week or sitting at the computer. Tempo running is a great substitute!

Warm Up = 25 minutes
10 x 100 yards (bodyweight GPP in the end zones)

Felt great. Knee had ZERO problems. For those of you wanting to lean up. get busy doing some tempo running!

I am convinced there is almost nothing worse for your body than sitting. nice rebound though, glad nothign hurt.

Franz, I am glad that the pain went away. Pain stinks.

Question on your tempo runs, how long of a break do you take before you start the next 100 yds? Do you perform at 85% of an all out sprint?

Sitting is the worst Rif!

Pete, I run the tempo runs at 60 to 70% effort, more than that taps in teh CNS too much. These are very relaxed sprints with ZERO Tension. Have you been trying them?
