Incline / Pull Us / Snatches
Incline Bench Press
165 x 3 x 3 sets
Weighted Pull Ups
60lbs. x 3 x 3 sets
Snatches
warm up: 53 x 5/5
62 x 5/5 x 5sets
Snatches felt good. Need to keep KB pulled in close to the body during the descent. If not my elbows go TWING.
franz, have you read about my snatch technique changes on my blog? it really helps keep the stress off my biceps on the descent. it might help you.
basically hold the rep at the top and make sure the hips are all the way under you( gltues tight)and the shoulder all the way open. then try to lead with the hips BACK on the descent. try ot get the hips to really catch the weight and the bell to stay in closer over your base of support. good luck
Cool. Thanks for the coaching Rif. Yeah, my left bicep gets tweaky as do my elbows if I do not keep the bell pulled in close to me as I descent. but what you are saying is to push my hips back immediately when I bring the bell down. I will film myslef doing the snatch and have you view it.
Incline BP...lol, I have not done that in years! How did it feel? Nice Snatch numbers and I like this rope thing, very curious to your thoughts on training with it
franz what I've found is that leading with the hips on the descent allows me to keep the bell over my base( closer to the body) more easily. this makes my biceps and shoulders more happy.let me know when you have video.
