Tuesday Training

Tried a new snatch ladder today. Pretty damn hard. Don't like the 10 rep stuff.

Snatches

53 5/5, 10/10, 5/5, 10/10, 5/5, 10/10, 5/5, 10/10 = 120 reps

Pull Ups

10,9,8

short workout. Felt pretty good. Thanks to coaches like Rif, Mike Mahler and Pavel, I am starting to see and feel the benefit in concentrating on less movements. The challenge with my personality is that I get bored so easily. But after having a talk with Mike Mahler a couple of weeks ago, people only getting bored when they are not making progress. WOW! That hit home big time. When you're making progress, getting stronger and more powerful, that's never boring. Sometimes less is more!!!!!

exactly. focus on the number( volume, intensity) like you focus in your sprint training. same thing. same basic stuff.but with the kb stuff you have control of the remote- modulate and moderate volume and intensity like an ol lifter. you dont have to stray far from the basic moves.plus working on specific aspects or qualities of the movement itself can be the workout.
Plus numbers dont lie.

oh, btw my link to your site now asks me for a password, whassup?

I got here through Joes site.

PS

I know what you mean about 10 rep snatches with the 53. makes me wonder how I ever passed the snatch test!

Yeah Rif.

you are so correct with the BASICS. I'm such a knuckle head it's taken me years to figure out that less is more.

Our server is down. They are working on it today. Hopefully tomorrow it will be up and running.

Darn Technology :)

I like the short workouts Franz (as you can probably tell from my blog!) I tried the breathing ladders with the jerk, I will have to try them with the snatch.

Funny thing about the BASICS. That philosophy applies to so many aspects of life. It makes me think about those people who win the lottery and when they revisit them a year later, they are the most miserable, unhappy people. Having gone to a third world country (Honduras) and seeing people leading simple lives without many creature comforts, yet being happy down to earth, generous people despite their poverty humbles you.

Good to know about your technological difficulties, I was wondering about the password! :)
